Rental terms, delivery, and safety.
Terms, delivery, safety and the questions the counter hears most. If yours is not here, call the yard.
Rental terms
What a rental agreement covers
The agreement lists the unit, the dates, the meter hours included, and the rate. It also covers the deposit, the optional damage waiver, fuel, cleaning, and what happens if the machine comes back late.
Read it before you leave the yard. The table below is the short version. Questions still go to the counter at 318-256-9363.
| Item | How it works |
|---|---|
| Meter hours | 8 hours in a day, 40 in a week, 160 in four weeks |
| Deposit | Card on file or a set deposit by machine class |
| Damage waiver | Optional percentage of the rental, limits apply |
| Fuel | Returned full, or refueled at the posted rate |
| Cleaning | Returned reasonably clean, or charged at cost |
| Late return | Billed at the next period, prorated where possible |
Delivery & pickup
Getting the machine to the job
Book the window
Tell us the site address, the day you need the machine, and how long the job should run. Morning drops fill first, especially in spring and after a storm.
Clear the drop
We need a firm place to unload and room to swing the trailer. Flag gates, overhead lines, and soft ground before we arrive. If the truck cannot turn around, say so on the call.
Call for pickup
Call when the job is done and the machine is fueled and parked where we dropped it. We will set a pickup window. After-hours pickup can be arranged for machines already on rent.
Safety
Nobody leaves the yard without a walkthrough
Before a machine leaves, someone at the counter walks through the controls, the shutoffs, and the load limits. The operator manual and a quick card go in the cab. If you have not run that class of machine, ask. The walkthrough is part of the rental.
